We are announcing the 1st step in implementing 10 county broadband

As an initial step to this, ROC- net is lighting portions of Rockford with wireless internet access. This access will be a fee based system with packages tailored for personal as well as business users.

The ability to light portions of Rockford is a byproduct of ROC- net lighting the dormant fiber ring throughout Rockford . Initially, the wireless coverage area will be limited but as the system comes progressively online, more and more of Rockford will be covered. The ultimate goal is to provide wireless internet to homeowners and businesses throughout the entire Rockford area, including Loves Park and Machesney Park .

As ROC- net rapidly grows and implements Broadband in our 10 County area, this wireless offering will be made available in rural areas where broadband internet has been a faraway dream.
